Mountain View Church - Derek Williams
Derek's Story:
A native New Yorker (not a Yankees fan but a Mets fanl), Derek grew up in an unchurched home and came to faith in Christ at 17 after hearing the Gospel in a small Brooklyn church. He soon pursued Bible training, where he met his wife, and they have now been married for over 37 years.
Together, they raised eight children through both birth and adoption, with a shared heart to serve the "Least of These." Derek currently ministers full time as Youth Pastor at Mountain View Church and has a background in Social Work and Foster Care.
His passion is to bring the hope of Christ through biblical counseling to hurting families, struggling youth, and those seeking freedom in Christ.

Perspective Ministry - Pastor Dave Hommel
Pastor Dave and his wife MaryAnne relocated to Flagstaff in 2018 and launched Perspective Ministry, a biblical counseling and discipleship ministry. Pastor Dave served at Calvary Chapel Vista in California for over 20 years as a biblical counselor and marriage mentor, as well as leading Fundamentals discipleship classes and overseeing adult ministries. In 2021 he partnered with GriefShare to offer grief counseling and is a member of the International Association of Biblical Counselors. Dave’s heart is to serve both the staff and congregations of Flagstaff churches so that they would find hope and healing, be built up in their faith, and live the abundant life in Christ that brings glory to His name.
Dave and MaryAnne enjoy discovering new places to hike, off-road, and kayak and spending time with their daughter Ashley, son-in-law-Sebastion, and two grandchildren, also Flagstaff residents. They currently fellowship at Urban Hope Church.
